Harpers Ferry Boosters Inc.

Harpers Ferry Boosters, Inc. offers financial support to activities and organizations in Harpers Ferry and the surrounding area. We played a major role in raising funds to finance a splash pad which opened June 1, 2019. This July will be our 10th year of hosting the Firecracker 5K on the July 4th weekend which is held in Harpers Ferry and draws participants and spectators from all over the state as well as from the surrounding states. The funds raised from this event are used for contributions to activities such as the Kids' Easter Egg Hunt, Halloween Party, Children's Christmas Party, Allamakee Scholarship Foundation, County Relief, Shriners and the Farmers Market. In the summer months, the Boosters sponsor Music in the Park at Tillinghast Park giving everyone an opportunity to listen to local musicians and enjoy the relaxing setting that offers a beautiful view of the Mississippi River.  The Boosters worked together with other non-profit organizations in Harpers Ferry to purchase and  installed an electronic message board to display local events and notices. We are working with other local organizations to refurbish the Welcome sign for Harpers Ferry which also shows the businesses in our community. Boosters will be joining with Peoples Bank in a spring clean up of Tillinghast and Veterans Park.
