Harry Whitehorse International Wood Sculpture Festival

A nonprofit organization

The Harry Whitehorse International Wood Sculpture Festival is a one-of-a-kind cultural event that brings together world-renowned wood sculptors for a week-long artist residency in Monona, Wisconsin. Held on the ancestral lands of the Ho-Chunk Nation at San Damiano on Lake Monona, the Festival honors the legacy of Ho-Chunk sculptor Harry Whitehorse.

More than just a sculpture event, the Festival is a gathering of artists, cultural demonstrators, and community members.

It is the first international wood sculpture festival in the world dedicated to an Indigenous person.

Your support helps us continue this vital work: building bridges across cultures, nurturing community through public art, and inspiring the next generation of artists.

Join us in keeping the spirit of Harry Whitehorse alive through art, culture, and shared experience.
