Hartford Public Library is an award-winning urban library that provides free resources to inspire reading, guide learning and encourage individual exploration.

Your gift to the Library helps us serve the community above and beyond what the City of Hartford provides alone. Thanks to donations from individuals, businesses and foundations, the Library can provide more:

• Books on multiple platforms and other media;
• Technology resources, including free public access to computers and the Internet;
• Services for those with special needs;
• Guidance for immigrants and refugees; and,
• Programming for children, teens, and adults.

We are helping to close the achievement gap, finding jobs for the employed and under-employed, teaching adults to read for the first time -- transforming lives every day. And, with your help, we will continue to make a difference for all the men, women and children who depend on us.
