Hazleton Art League

Since 1947, the Hazleton Art League has been a home for creativity, connection, and community in Greater Hazleton. At our core, we believe that everyone deserves a space to experience, create, and be inspired by art—no matter their background, age, or skill level.

Located in the beautifully renovated Hayden Family Center for the Arts in downtown Hazleton, HAL is a hub of year-round activity. Each month, we premiere new exhibitions that highlight regional talent and spark conversation. Our artist talks and gallery events bring creators and audiences together in meaningful ways, while events like Acoustic Jam invite local musicians to fill our gallery with music every fourth Sunday.

We proudly host an annual Members’ Exhibition, showcasing the incredible work of our diverse and talented membership, and we’re honored to collaborate with other local art associations by providing gallery space for their exhibitions—building connections and strengthening the arts community across Northeastern Pennsylvania.

Our seasonal class offerings include painting, drawing, ceramics, digital art, photography, poetry, and more—making the arts accessible to people of all ages and abilities.

We’re especially proud of our Art Youth Expo (AYE), a vibrant annual celebration of young artists ages 13–30, and Peace, Love & Chalk, our joyful community chalk art event that brings color and creativity to downtown sidewalks each September.
