We’re a non-profit on a mission to teach art-making as a form of stress reduction and healing.  For over twenty years, we've worked with cancer survivors and now we are expanding to include all chronic diseases and life disrupting events.

Through our community events, art exhibitions, and creative workshops, we provide relief, reduce suffering and make positive change in people’s lives!

In 2016, Healing Icons made a bold decision broaden our mission. Many people made requests for our offerings to expand beyond working with cancer survivors.

We started Creating Brave, a community and eCourse hub for healing, growing and thriving through mindful art practices. Our eCourses are designed to cultivate creativity and healing for all.  They are appropriate for all chronic diseases and life disrupting events as well as  re-centering time.

We will remain dedicated to our cancer population but are thrilled to open our creative arms to the world at large.
