Missouri ranks as the 8th state in the nation for the number of human trafficking cases reported.

It’s an alarming statistic, one that underscores a critical issue we can no longer overlook. In 2023 alone, human trafficking generated a staggering $32 billion in illicit profits in the U.S. This isn’t just a number—it’s a dire reflection of a broken system, one that threatens the safety and dignity of our most vulnerable.

The battle to end human trafficking is not easy, but it’s one we must fight. It requires the persistence, strength, and leadership of individuals like you who understand that protecting the vulnerable and restoring dignity to those who’ve been exploited is a cause worth fighting for. Through your financial contributions you are a key part of this effort.

Human trafficking isn’t just a tragedy for those directly affected; it’s a tragedy for all of us. It weakens our communities, exploits the disenfranchised. But together, we can make a difference. Together, we can fight back against this horrific crime and restore hope to those whose lives have been stolen.

Healing Action Network fosters safety, healing, and recovery with survivors of trafficking & exploitation. We fulfill our mission through three distinct programs.

  1. Center for Survivors – We provide trauma recovery services that include intensive service management, trauma therapy, individual and group peer support services, drop-in support center, and psychoeducation & trauma groups, and housing to adults who have experienced all forms of sexual exploitation including, but not limited to, sex trafficking, prostitution, stripping, escorting, pornography, and survival sex.
  2. Coalition Against Trafficking & Exploitation (CATE) – CATE is a statewide coalition to prevent and respond to human trafficking and exploitation. Primary activities include workgroups, policy advocacy, research & data collection, and standards of care.
  3. Volunteer Service Link – Program is designed to build the capacity of our community partners, increase identification of human trafficking victims, develop efficient data collection methods, and develop a diverse pool of trafficking trained community members across Missouri. We connect volunteers to Missouri victim service organizations. Volunteers can choose from a variety of organizations across the state to gain skills, build relationships, and build a stronger safety net for survivors.
