Imagine a future where all children are nourished and active.
Did you know that hundreds of thousands of children across the state of Georgia face overwhelming obstacles to their academic and personal success due to inequities that contribute to poor nutrition, limited opportunities for physical activity, and a lack of community resources? At HealthMPowers we believe in empowering potential and that when we center youth voice, we can catalyze a healthier future for the next generation. We serve more than 300,000 children in under-resourced communities across the state of Georgia. Our work is focused on making sure kids can eat healthy, nutritious foods and engage in regular physical activity.
The Truth Is Startling:
At HealthMPowers, we work every day to reduce the barriers to good health facing that kids and their families face. Working alongside teachers, community members, educators, and youth leaders, our health educators provide nutrition and physical activity programs, resources, and training that tackle the preventable causes of health inequities—inadequate/poor nutrition and lack of physical activity. Health should never be a barrier to a child realizing their full potential and living out their dreams.
Highlights of what your generous investment will support:
HealthMPowers is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to a mission of empowering healthy habits and transforming environments where children live, learn, and play. By bringing nutrition education and physical activity into everyday life and learning, we help create a culture that supports healthy choices.
We believe that:
IF we provide Georgia’s youth with health-focused programming, training, leadership opportunities, conducive environments, and opportunities,
THEN it will catalyze positive concrete change in overall youth health,
SO THAT Georgians are nourished and active for generations to come.
