HEALTH OUTREACH PREVENTION EDUCAYION, INC

H.O.P.E. was founded in 1998 and is celebrating its 15th anniversary in 2013.  The agency provides comprehensive prevention education, testing, counseling, and referral/linkage services (CTR/L) and conducts a variety of targeted outreach efforts focused on men and women from ages 13 – 65+ in the Tulsa MSA and 24 surrounding counties.  H.O.P.E. began offering Hepatitis B and Hepatitis C education and testing in March, 2004.  In 2012, H.O.P.E. became a pilot testing site for Hepatitis C (HCV) in conjunction with the Oklahoma State Department of
Health (OSDH), and H.O.P.E.’s ED is the Chair of OSDH’s Hepatitis Task Force.  In 2013, H.O.P.E. began offering
Syphilis testing.  H.O.P.E. also operates the only statewide HIV/STD/I/HCV resource hotline.  Over 76.5% of H.O.P.E.’s clients are uninsured/underinsured and/or underserved. 
In 2012, H.O.P.E. provided services to approximately 8,100 individuals throughout the state.
