Health and Education Love Project

Based in Miami Gardens, Florida, Health and Education Project (HELP) is dedicated to enhanced access to quality education and health services in underserved communities in South Florida. Founded in 2012, and we have been chartered since June 8, 2017.Our Charity Registration Number 81-4658705. Here are our traditional areas of focus:

• Partnering with students to define their dreams and career goals, empowering them to develop and implement a path to success
• Subsidized GED and SAT Test Preparation
• Health and Wellness Programming for the uninsured and underinsured
• Assisting youth to acquire workplace competencies
• Career, Vocational, and Entrepreneurship Support
• Helping youth and adults undergoing transitions with Trade Certifications

PROJECT: FREE POST-COVID CAREERS AND VOCATIONS TRAINING
As of August 2020, the unemployment rate in the tri-county area of South Florida stood at 13.2%. The upsurge in unemployment is mainly attributable to the COVID-19 pandemic. Many of those who lost their jobs will require to be retrained and assisted into new vocations and careers. Our project seeks to empower 20 or more individuals in the South Florida area, who do not qualify for Federal financial aid, to acquire vocational and work-place skills with a view to reentering the workforce and thereby improving their economic well-being.

Prospective beneficiaries will be screened by our volunteer Career Counselors and supported to enroll in Adult & Career Technical Education programs at accredited institutions in Miami Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach counties. Upon completion, they will be assisted to secure employment locally.
