Healthy Kids Inc

Healthy Kids is a 501c(3) non-profit corporation dedicated to the care and well being of Alabama's children. We focus on three main areas: Nutrition, Health and Safety, and Quality Childcare. Each area is important and they often overlap. Our goal is to consistently expand our services in these areas to benefit the children of Alabama.

Healthy Kids has a wide variety of programs:
• Through the Child Adult Care Food Program, we serve Family Home Day Care Providers in 14 counties across the state. Training and enabling them to serve healthier meals to the children they care for. 
• We assist with the Butler County School System’s First Steps Early Child Education Development Center. At First Steps, we believe in providing a broad based high quality educational environment in which every child is carefully nurtured, monitored, and guided as they grow and develop physically, socially, emotionally, and intellectually.
• Healthy Kids Excel, funded in part through Children’s Trust Fund of Alabama, is a parent support program that focuses on preventing child abuse and neglect. This program currently serves Butler, Crenshaw, Conecuh, and Lowndes Counties. 
• Butler County HIPPY (Home Instruction for Preschool Program) recently had its application approved. HIPPY is a program designed to empower parents to take active roles as their children’s primary educators.
