Mission

The mission of the Heard Museum is to educate the public about the heritage, living cultures and art of Native people.

Programs

The Heard Museum's programs include events, exhibitions and educational programs that engage the public to observe, learn from and interact with Native art, artists, demonstrators and performers. Events include the World Championship Hoop Dance contest, Indian Fair & Market and an international Film Festival. Exhibitions include the new reinstalled permanent collection. Educational programming includes the Free School Admission Program, Native American High School Guide Program, and a Teacher Institute.
