Heart and Soul

Dear Friends,

Thank you for all you do to support Heart and Soul, and our work creating connection, hope, and healing through Peer Support for mental health.  We are so proud of what we have achieved together.  The COVID pandemic was challenging for everyone, but the impact hit particularly hard for those facing mental health issues.

Fortunately, with your help, we've done our job to equip our community with a variety of online check-in and wellness activities including:

• Total Wellness Club
• Mindful Movement classes
• 24/7 Peer Warm Line
• COVID-19 Resource Guide
• Compassionate Community Conversations on Race and Allyship

At the same time, we have continued to deliver our pioneering HOPE program, which helps those emerging from long-term inpatient psychiatric care to successfully reintegrate into the community. 

We’ve continued our Seeing Through Stigma campaign, which breaks down stereotypes and misconceptions through speaker panels with lived experience of mental health challenges, who share openly about their struggles, overcoming obstacles, and the arc of their recovery journeys. Now through Zoom, Seeing Through Stigma brings this profound experience to first responders, other caregivers, and community groups.

Together, we are working toward a world of acceptance, inclusion, and dignity for those striving toward self-defined mental wellness.
