Heart of a Child Ministries

     Heart of a Child Ministries was started in prayer through the heart of a child named Grace in 2012. During a Holy Hour for Life on the anniversary of Roe v Wade, seven- year-old Grace was inspired in front of the Blessed Sacrament to start the Pro-life Prayer Pillow.  She told her mom that she wanted to "make something and sell it and give the money back to mommies so that they could buy diapers and not have abortions."  She proceeded to tell her mom about the Pro-life Prayer Pillow.  Through the sales of these pillows, tens of thousands of dollars were donated to help women choose life.  Soon, word got out about this little girl on a mission, and in 2016, Grace and her mom were invited to go into the schools and inspire other kids to make a difference for life too.

     Through God's inspiration and grace, a national pro-life education program has since been developed.  Heart of a Child Ministries has provided their Celebration of Life, live ultrasound presentations in seven different states to over 20,000 students.  We present to an average of 600 students per month during the school year and have presented to over 50 schools and churches in Nebraska, mostly in the Omaha Archdiocese Catholic schools.  Using a 4S model of education, we share Scripture, Science, Stories and Service with students grades K-college.  We have developed four age appropriate live ultrasound presentations: k-3, 4-6th, 7-8th, and high school and beyond.  We are a team of master's level social workers, medical professionals, licensed sonographers, and regular people with powerful pro-life stories.

     After our presentations, participants fill our evaluations forms.  Based on these, we see that over 50% of the pro-choice students experience a change of heart. Additionally, students who were fully pro-life before our presentation share that they feel better equipped to represent their pro-life stance to their peers.
