Marilyn needs your help to remain independent!!

Marilyn has relied on Heart of the Valley escorted transportation for the past three years. Like so many of our clients, Marilyn no longer drives, and Heart of the Valley is her lifeline to remaining independent in her own home.

Marilyn knows that she can call us to schedule a ride to a medical appointment or to run an errand, and that she will not only get there on time, but that our dedicated and caring volunteers will treat her with courtesy and respect. Marilyn also knows she can ask volunteers for extra help too, like waiting with her in the doctor’s office, or helping her with her shopping.

Many of our clients, like Marilyn, view the help and companionship offered by our volunteers as the next best thing to a family member. In many cases, our volunteer may be the only person a client interacts with all day.

Although we don’t charge for the services we provide clients like Marilyn, supporting more than 700 seniors with an army of 250+ volunteers doesn’t come for free!

Managing an office, staffing the phones and recruiting and scheduling volunteers all takes money. And because we don’t charge our clients, many of whom live below the poverty level, we need help from people like you.

And 95 cents of every dollar you give will go directly to supporting the services we provide.
