Things continue to be busy for the animals of Hood County!  Last year H.A.N.D was able to help in a variety of ways. Veterinarian shortages have caused us to pause our major vaccination clinics which is a huge loss to our lower income clients. We hope to find new vets willing to help. We continue to offer our basic vaccinations and microchipping. The harder times of the economy have made our services even more needed in lower income areas.

Spay and neuter has resumed as our main priority. Texas as a whole is in a crisis with the number of unwanted pets. Shelters, rescues and fosters are all overwhelmed. Your donations help us provide these services and control the number of unwanted litters.

We have continued to transport animals to rescues, volunteers have fostered over 15 animals and found them new families and keeping them out of over populated shelters. Other volunteers have medically fostered animals.

Donations and our dedicated volunteers is what makes all of this work possible.
