St. Charles County Veterans Museum

Beginning in 2022, our mission is evolving to not only preserving the stories of our veterans, but to raise awareness of the struggles our veterans face when they hang up the uniform. We lose 22 veterans a day to suicide. Many believe this number is low. Instead of passively listening and merely sharing our veterans stories, the museum strives to help our veterans and support and promote those organizations helping our veterans. The museum hopes to raise public awareness of the battles our veterans face, when they come home. All veterans make sacrifices for our freedom. For some, it is the ultimate.

We preserve our veterans stories through interviews, our own podcast, and our highly popular Interview With Heroes - Our Veterans program where we utilize local high school who interview our veterans, record their story, and send it the Library of Congress. Our hope is to increase staff and expand this program throughout the midwest. Our founder, Ralph Barrale always said, "No one is ever gone as long as someone still has memories of them."
