H3P is more than just a nonprofit organization it is a legacy. The foundation of H3P was laid in 2000 as direct result of seeing first hand how people are treated when they do not have the "right" health insurance to take care of their healthcare needs. The denial of hospice admittance for my mother because she was enrolled in a Medicaid HMO started the journey to healthcare advocacy. I was able to get her admitted to hospice as a result of my not taking no for an answer from any state agency. After her death I began obtaining knowledge about healthcare and how to breakdown barriers in healthcare up to the present when I work daily with my daughter to get information out about H3P's services. We know this needed nonprofit organization is an asset to Arizona and are sure that H3P will be a greater gift nationwide and beyond.

In November 2012, Henderson-Hughes Health Partners (H3P) was incorporated in the state of Arizona. We applied for our 501C3 in May of 2013 and received our 501C3 in June of 2014.

So what type of nonprofit is Henderson-Hughes Health Partners (H3P)? Henderson-Hughes Health Partners (H3P) is a health advocacy, health literacy, health consulting nonprofit organization.

The mission of H3P is stamp out health illiteracy by educating the community on public health matters and the health care industry. There are 4 moblie services that H3P provides to the state of Arizona and beyond. They are Teens Educated Against Sexual Endeavors (T.E.A.S.E), H3P Senior Initiative, Young grandparents, Observing, Understanding, Nurturing, Grandchildren (Y.O.U.N.G.), and VHHughes Consulting.

Teens Educated Against Sexual Endeavors (T.E.A.S.E.) was developed to reduce pregnancies and sexually transmitted diseases among teens. Through the use of photos and discussions we improve the sexual health knowledge of teens. An assessment is giving at the beginning and end of the program to teens and parents to gauge sexual health knowledge.

H3P Senior Initiative is for seniors 60 and above. Developed to reduce the rate of sexually transmitted diseases in the senior population. Through the use of photos and a discussion panel made of medical professionals to answer any questions thus improving the sexual health knowledge of seniors. This programs also helps seniors with filling out insurance forms, answer any prescription questions, and understand health related issues. H3P wants to inspire and encourage seniors to reach out to get necessary medical information and assistance, while becoming self-sufficient in taking care of their overall health care needs and knows that the H3P Senior Initiative will help seniors reach that goal.

Young grandparents, Observing, Understanding, Nurturing, Grandchildren (Y.O.U.N.G.) is designed to help grandparents age 25 through 54 in the areas of decision to raise grandchildren, kinship foster care, grandparent stipend, foster care licensing, and adoption vs guardianship.

VHHughes consulting is the for-profit side of Henderson-Hughes Health Partners (H3P) with the focus on reviewing , analyzing, and developing programs and services related to youth and senior health, chronic disease detection, treatment, prevention health screenings and health education.
