For more than 30 years, the Henry's Fork Foundation has been the only not-for-profit organization whose sole purpose is to conserve, protect, and restore the Henry's Fork and its legendary wild trout.
Our 2016 Idaho Gives goal is to raise $40,000 toward the installation of three water quality monitoring stations. This will help complete the nearly $350,000 three year plan to have 11 total stations within the watershed. These new devices will be stationed at the Buffalo River, Fall River, and Warm River. The existing stations have already provided data that have altered management practices on the river to the benefit of wild trout.
Every donation made to the Henry’s Fork Foundation will be matched dollar for dollar by the generous members of the Foundation’s Board of Directors (up to $20,000). And for every $100 you donate, you will receive a raffle ticket for a chance to win a custom Low Profile XL Series Hyde Drift Boat package, valued at $10,000. If you win, Hyde will customize the boat to your specifications. In addition, there are fantastic prizes for each giving level.
For example, if you donate $1,000, you’ll receive your choice of the new Sage MOD trout rod (2wt to 6wt) PLUS 10 Hyde drift boat tickets.
For a $3,000 life membership donation, you’ll receive the new Sage Mod with a LOOP OPTi reel, PLUS 30 Hyde drift boat tickets.
• Monitor long-term changes to important water-quality attributes in major river reaches and tributaries.
• Accumulate fine-scale data that provides the underlying chemical, physical, and biological context for interpreting results of site-specific research and monitoring.
• Establish the capability to rapidly collect pre- and post-project data for the purposes of evaluating effects of new infrastructure projects and management actions.
