Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater St. Louis

A nonprofit organization

Founded in 1967 as the Herbert Hoover Boys Club, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater St. Louis (BGCSTL) has more than 50 years of experience providing a safe place for youth to learn and grow.
Since 2007, the organization has grown from a single location in north St. Louis City to 12 locations, including (Adams Park Club, Boys & Girls Club of Bethalto, Boys & Girls Club of Lovejoy, Hazelwood Elementary School Club, Herbert Hoover Club, Mathews-Dickey Club, Normandy High School, O'Fallon Park Club, Riverview Gardens Club, Roosevelt High School, Hazelwood Southeast Middle School Club and the Teen Center of Excellence). We also operate the Mentor St. Louis and St. Louis Internship programs. BGCSTL serves over 7,500 children and teens through Club membership and community outreach.

Our goal at BGCSTL is that youth are on track to graduate from high school with a plan for their future, demonstrating good character and citizenship, and living a healthy lifestyle. To accomplish this, we offer more than 20 fun, dynamic programs which support services in six core areas: Education; Health & Life Skills; Character & Leadership; Workforce Readiness; The Arts; and Sports, Fitness & Recreation. These programs are taught by caring adult professionals in a safe environment. Free dental and vision care are also provided to Club members in partnership with Care STL Health and Eye Care Charity of Mid America. A complete description of programs and services is available under the "Programs" tab here on this Give STL Day site as well as on our Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater St. Louis website, www.bgcstl.org.
