Heroes for the Homeland Inc

Heroes for the Homeland is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization made up of Law Enforcement and Emergency Services Personnel who wish to aid American Communities devastated by natural and man-made disasters by (1)ensuring that the families and homes of first responders in those communities are safe, enabling the emergency workers to focus on helping the surrounding community without worry and (2) assisting in the cleanup of the surrounding communities.

Back in 2012, just 8 weeks after receiving our 501(c)(3) designation from the IRS, we went on our first deployment to Toms River, NJ to assist a local volunteer fire department with supplies after Hurricane Sandy caused tens of billions of dollars in damage in the northeastern United States.

In May 2013 we responded to Oklahoma City, OK after successive tornado outbreaks destroyed over 1000 homes, and 2 elementary schools, and damaged a hospital and thousands of other homes. We brought over 20,000 pounds of donated supplies for the community, as well as 7 volunteers who provided cleanup and relocation assistance to two families.

 We responded to Washington, IL in November 2013 after the strongest tornado to hit the state of Illinois in November in over 50 years caused $800 million in damage in the city of Washington alone. We provided 26,000 pounds of donated supplies for the community, and 8 volunteers who were able to provide cleanup and relocation assistance to four families.

Since late 2012, we have received over $15,000.00 in monetary donations and over 50,000 pounds of supplies from our generous supporters and all donations went to support our first three deployments.
