Introducing HERON'S BRIDGE:

Valley Women's Martial Arts, non-profit membership organization since 1977, is now part of a consortium of programs called HERON'S BRIDGE. At the Gateway to Easthampton's Cultural District, same location, HB offers the best of what we had before – plus MORE! In the spirit of ongoing transformation, accessibility, and inclusion, Heron's Bridge provides integrative arts education from a feminist social justice perspective through four current programs: Lotus Peace Arts, VWMA, Dragon's Den School of Martial Arts, and Circle Center Aikido.

HB classes, workshops, and special events for all ages include instruction in martial arts, movement meditation, empowerment skills, self-protection and self-care strategies, healing and peace-building methods, interpretive dance, poetry, and more. HB welcomes participants of any gender, physical/mental ability, race, creed, ethnicity, socio-economic background, sexual orientation, and body size. Program fees are on a sliding scale basis.

YOUR GENEROSITY MATTERS. Tax-deductible donations to VWMA of any amount will help support Heron's Bridge programs offered on a full sliding scale fee basis, economically accessible to all.

 OBJECTIVES OF HERON'S BRIDGE:

To nurture an atmosphere of welcome.

To promote collectivity, democracy, diversity, collaboration, cooperation, and feminist social justice values in all aspects of the organization’s structure.
