Herrington Lake Conservation League Inc

Originally founded by a group of concerned homeowners, the Herrington Lake Conservation League (HLCL) has collected and removed hundreds of tons of manmade garbage (styrofoam, docks, bottles, cans) and thousands of tons of natural debris (branches and tree trunks) from the waters and banks of this now beautiful lake.

The primary goal of the HLCL is to raise money to finance a permanent work crew to sweep the banks and waters and properly dispose of the debris.

Until the HLCL was founded in 2001, no one was responsible for keeping the lake clean.  There were times when it looked like you could walk across the lake.  Now, crews are available to respond to areas that need assistance in cleaning debris.
