MAXIMIZE Your Giving!  Helping Hand of Hope has been offered a $1,000 Matching Grant for the first $1,000 in donations received on KY Gives Day, May 24th!  

WHY HELPING HAND OF HOPE? Thousands of people in Hardin County are working in low-wage jobs, living from paycheck to paycheck.  What happens when an upexpected expense (medical bill, car repair) or job loss comes along, and they are no longer able to pay their bills?   Where can they turn for help if there is not enough food to feed their family, or they are about to be evicted from their apartment or have their utilities cut-off? Since 1970 Helping Hand of Hope has offered compassionate relief in the name of Jesus Christ to low-income families in crisis by providing immediate assistance to help them with their basic needs.

In 2015, Helping Hand of Hope provided the following assistance: 

• 2,255 families received food assistance form our food pantry
• 2,022 children from low-income families received toys, clothing and food for Christmas
• 144 families received rent assistance to prevent eviction and homelessness  
• 1,015 families received utility assistance
• 20 individuals received assistance with temporary shelter
• 62 people were unemployed and placed into jobs
• 51 clients received money management training.
