We are a private, non-profit serving elders, their families and their caregivers in twenty four communities in Hampshire and Hampden Counties and a proud partner of the United Way of Hampshire County. We aim to help elders connect with resources that enable them to maintain their independence and live enriched lives. From nutrition, home care and money management to protection from abuse, together we create solutions that have a direct, immediate and positive impact on the quality of everyday life.

We may be best known for our nutrition program commonly known as Meals on Wheels. Our goal is to ensure that eligible adults over 60 receive a daily, hot nutritionally balanced meal, regardless of ability to pay. For over thirty years the nutrition program has been addressing the issues of senior hunger and food insecurity.

Our home care program staff coordinates a wide array of services, from basic homemaking and personal care assistance to health care planning. These services help elders who want to remain in their home to do so. Care advisors conduct home visits with their clients and advocate for the best interests of their clients.

The protective services staff ensures that elders in our communities are able to lead lives free from abuse, financial exploitation or neglect. Everyday they investigate allegations of abuse and work with families and community agencies to provide appropriate medical, mental health, legal and social services.

Highland Valley provides home based money management services to participants having difficulty with budgeting, managing checking accounts and keeping track of financial matters. Our money managers can make a significant difference in the lives of elders.

Elders in long term care facilities have access to our Ombudsman program. Certified ombudsman visit facilities regularly to advise residents of their rights and to investigate any complaints or concerns about care to help ensure the highest quality of life for residents.

Every day Highland Valley staff work hard to make a difference in the lives of elders. Whether it's helping an elder access home-making services, or simply taking the time to call an elder to wish them a happy birthday, we care deeply about the work that we do and the lives that we touch.

We hope that you care about the work that we do too and will take a moment to donate to Highland Valley Elder Services. As our elder population continues to grow, so does our need for community support.
