High Sierra AHEC

                                                                                                                                    High Sierra Area Health Education Center is a federally and state-funded 501(c)(3) nonprofit committed to serving under-served and rural populations of Northwestern Nevada in collaboration with the University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine, and the Office of Statewide Initiatives. 

Mission:

• Development a current & future pipeline of qualified healthcare workers for Nevada

• Develop & enhance education and training within community-based organizations and academic institutions

• Be responsive to current and emergent issues to ensure quality healthcare practices

High Sierra AHEC serves the following counties: Carson, Churchill, Douglas, Lyon, Storey, and Washoe.
