Hildegard House

Our mission at Hildegard House is to provide a home and compassionate care for individuals at the end of life who have no home or loved ones to care for them so that they may die with dignity.  With the support of dedicated volunteers and a community of friends, Hildegard House provides a home, quality end-of-life care, and access to hospice services for people during the last three months of life. We are family to those who have no loved ones to care for them during this sacred time.

Hildegard House is the only Comfort Care Home in the state of Kentucky. We fill a critical gap in care without duplicating services. Our services are free. Since opening our doors in July 2016, Hildegard has served over 250 individuals in two homes in the Butchertown neighborhood. Each week, 82 special volunteers we call Compassionate Companions provide daily care for our residents.  Join our compassionate community! Learn more about volunteering here.
