Historic Aviation Memorial Museum

A nonprofit organization

The Historic Aviation Memorial Museum (HAMM) mission is twofold: the first is to preserve, protect, illustrate and define the history of aviation by the collection, preservation and display of aviation memorabilia, artifacts and aircraft. The second is to educate the public on aviation history and the role that aviation has played from the beginning of flight.

HAMM has displays of aviation memorabilia from the beginning of flight to modern day aviation. A static display of aircraft is located on the ramp consisting of military aircraft from the Korean War and the Vietnam War to include training aircraft, fighters, fighter bombers and helicopters. HAMM is involved in and promotes STEM programs. HAMM is a major participant in the annual Warbird Expo and the Rose City Air Fest events held yearly at the Tyler Pounds Regional Airport. The museum is visited by multiple school districts and home schooled students in the east Texas area as part of their education programs. HAMM has two flight simulators that museum guests may use to experience flight.
