IDAHO DIABETES YOUTH PROGRAMS INC dba Camp Hodia

The Hodia Youth Event Committee is the all-youth subcommittee of the Idaho Diabetes Youth Programs Board of Directors. These exceptional young people create and facilitate Hodia programs for other local youth with diabetes. 

Our first 2016 program is to conceptualize and facilitate first-day-of-camp activities for 200+ Hodia Teen and Hodia Kids Camp campers so that all campers get incorporated into the Hodia camp family and feel included as soon as they arrive at camp! Traditionally this day is a little slow with all of the medical intake interviews, our goal is to make this day more enjoyable for the campers while still allowing camp staff to achieve the safety and medical results that need to come from the medical screenings! 

Since 1978, Idaho Diabetes Youth Programs (dba Camp Hodia) has been providing camps and programs for youth with type 1 diabetes across the state of Idaho, into Eastern Oregon and Western Wyoming. Our programs are designed to foster self-reliance, education, and inspiration through healthy, self-management of diabetes.
