Hole in the Head Gang Equine Rescue

HITHGER (Hole in the Head Gang Equine Rescue) got named, because we were told, many times, that we had to have an extra hole in our heads for rescuing so many equine.  The donkeys and horses, and the occasional mule we've rescued, with our continued help, have found good and loving forever homes.  When an animal comes in here, if necessary, we gentle them.  We work with their feet, and teach them to lead, and if they're in need of a diet - either to gain weight or take it off (donkeys often come in grossly over weight) we do what we can for the animals' health.  And, then we search for good homes... forever homes.  Each animal has his or her very own story, so to tell all would take a book!  What we need now is a shelter they cannot eat to the ground over night, and we would also love to be able to expand a decent fence for their needs.  Thank you for your support!  Virginia "Ginny" Freeman; president of Hole in the Head Gang Equine Rescue.
