Holman Recovery Center

Holman Recovery Center (HRC) is a nonprofit started by a group of counselors, case workers, and court employees who saw a need for inpatient treatment for their clients with Medicaid in Snohomish County. It opened in February of 2021. Over 95% of our clients have their treatment funded via Medicaid or NSBHASO reimbursement for Medicare - this funding has always been low and creates gaps in funding for us. Donations cover art supplies, clothing for clients, medications not covered by insurance, and support for clients leaving our program.

HRC is a CARF Accredited, ASAM Level 3.5, 36-bed residential substance use disorder treatment program located in Arlington, Washington. We provide compassionate care to men and women struggling with addiction in a supportive, non-judgmental residential environment. Our length of stay varies based on clinical necessity, but on average clients participate in the program from 21-28 days. HRC utilizes gender-specific, evidence-based practices, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, to improve client outcomes and maximize their potential for long-term recovery. 

Our clients with Opioid Use Disorders can access Medically Assisted Treatment (MAT – such as Methadone, Suboxone, and Vivitrol) through our partnerships with local healthcare providers. Additionally, clients participate in regular daily exercise including yoga classes, and enjoy a healthy diet overseen by a registered dietitian. We also provide weekly classes on art and horticulture. To support their long-term recovery, clients also attend five 12-step meetings facilitated by outside groups at HRC each week. We introduce our clients to the principles of 12-step programs and other community resources that will aid in their ongoing recovery journey.
