Home Together Inc

We are seeking funding to make a walking path, raised vegetable beds, picnic table, basketball hoop etc., providing opportunities for activities for adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder. 

 Home Together, Inc. was founded by three Boise families of adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). (The founders are Angie/Phil Tate, Phyllis/Mark Meinhardt & Dolores Totorica/JohnWilson)

Our families have been planning for our adult children’s future that will include relationships, independence and sustainable housing. We purchased an apartment complex to create an intentional community where our children AND OTHERS can be in close proximity to each other to share services, friendships and activities.

We have visited an Intentional Community for adults with ASD, created a vision statement, hired property management,  met with service providers, Health and Welfare, participated in a strategic planning session, met with city personnel, architects, attorneys, a CPA , meet regularly with a SCORE mentor and created a presentation for interested families.

Our values include safety, relationships, choice, respect, dignity and participation within the greater community. The grounds feature common areas with a future community center which will have activities for residents and nonresidents. The opportunity for a independent, self-directed life with chosen supports  is achievable for adults with Autism.

The property is along a dead end road and adjacent to a fenced, unmaintained field of about 1/4 acre which we have cleared and are seeking funding to make a walking path, raised vegetable beds, picnic tables, basketball hoop etc., providing opportunities for activities for residents and non-residents.
