These are just a few examples of the universal response from World War II Veterans who get to experience Honor Flight.

 

Most of these heroes were well into their 80's by the time the World War II Memorial was dedicated in 2004.  Too many are dying before they have the chance to visit this honor created by our nation in gratitude for the amazing sacrifice they made over 70 years ago.

 

Well over 200 Southern Nevadans have been able to visit the memorial thanks to Honor Flight.  There are 30 more scheduled for the April 2016 flight.  Most, if not all, are unable to travel without the assistance of our volunteers who will accompany them at their own expense.  The trip for each vet costs $1,000.  The entire flight, including miscellaneious expenses, totals $38,000.
