Please help HOPE shelter adults experiencing homelessness in our community.

HOPE provides shelter, medical triage, meals, showers, dry clothing, a safe place to sleep, and access to resources that can resolve homelessness – most are on-site.

HOPE offers the only “low barrier,” walk-in emergency shelter in the area. "Low Barrier" is a term for shelters that work with people who may have lost/stolen ID, may not be sober (however, no substances may be brought into the shelter), and HOPE brings service-providers into the shelter to eliminate the barrier of transportation.

HOPE also offers the first Recuperative Shelter for homeless persons being discharged from hospital. This gives a person the opportunity to recuperate from medical conditions that would otherwise worsen or become life-threatening.

Each year, more than 250 HOPE guests exit the shelter to a place they can call home and keep as their home.

Year-round, HOPE operates at or near-full capacity. We are the only walk in emergency shelter in Oakland County that does not limit the amount of time a person can access services, does not screen for intoxication, and has a commitment to never turn away any person in need.

HOPE needs the financial support of people like you!  Your gifts are deeply appreciated.

Sincerely,

Brian Wright
