Hope Enterprises of America Inc

Hope Enterprises of America, Inc. is a small non-profit assisted living facility providing services for 10 developmentally and intellectually disabled adults in Tarpon Springs. Hope also provides transportation services in the north Pinellas/west Pasco area to and from local Adult Day Training programs in north Pinellas and west Pasco County.

For nearly 20 years, our mission has been to provide adult persons with disabilities a safe, nurturing, and enjoyable home. Our administrative, direct care, and support staff work together to create an environment conducive to meeting the individual needs of each consumer. Examples of our services include: assistance with improving independent living skills, assistance with attending medical appointments and following doctor instruction, assistance with reaching their individual goals, improved health and safety knowledge, and providing individuals with dietician approved meals. Other examples of our services include, but are not limited to, consumer participation in the community, exercise activities, training for and participation in Special Olympics events.

The home environment is bolstered by the inclusion of birthday parties for each individual, and with holiday meals, activities, and parties, including annual Halloween and Christmas parties to extend the home to their families and friends. Special arts and crafts projects are designed for consumers throughout the year, including holiday and party decorations, which are displayed throughout the house.

Our goal for Give Day Tampa Bay is to raise $15,000.00 to split into several categories of improvement:

1. To increase consumer participation in community activities.
2. To improve our fleet vehicles, including the need for updated electronic equipment such as GPS’s and video monitoring equipment.
3. To update our recreational areas, activities, and equipment for our consumers.
4. To conduct essential home improvement projects that will enhance consumer quality of life and business efficiency.

The founders of Hope were the parents of our very first resident. They saw a need in the community for a higher level of service than was currently being provided, and opened Hope, which created the family we have today. We are not an institution, we are the home of 10 individuals.
