Hope Hall is a private, non-profit, non sectarian school with a unique approach to learning for students in grades 3-12 who have learning challenges. The students we serve experience frustration and failure in the traditional classroom. They have barriers to learning, including ADD/ADHD, mild anxiety disorders, forms of Autism, a low-average IQ, and Auditory Processing delays. Before coming to Hope Hall, they often experienced heart-breaking bullying.
At Hope Hall we believe that, given enough time and the right environment, all students can learn. Our unique, holistic approach to learning has been helping students succeed in the classroom and beyond for 26 years. We consistently have a 100% graduation rate, and 100% of our seniors graduate prepared for a career or college.
These results are not possible without donor support. Hope Hall does not receive funding from school districts, and, since 87% of our children live in poverty, tuition revenue is limited. Donors are vital to our ability to ensure that any child who can benefit from our unique education model can access our programs, regardless of their family's ability to pay.
The 2020-2021 school year was a year that none of us ever could have imagined. Even students who are quick studies and need relatively little support from their teachers to succeed found remote learning and hybrid learning a challenge. For Hope Hall students, the challenges were magnified by their learning barriers. As we look ahead to the 2021-2022 school year we are hopeful for a more traditional year and the opportunity to give our incoming Seniors the kind of last year of High School every student deserves.
We are asking the Community to help create the 2021-2022 Senior Success Scholarship Fund and help our Seniors Thrive in the coming school year and beyond! When our students thrive, it not only changes their lives, but it changes the lives of their families and their surrounding community. Together we can help our Seniors achieve success beyond the classroom and find meaningful employment and economic independence.
Scholarships will be used to help fund our Seniors final year of education, which features a concentrated cross curriculum effort to prepare our seniors for life after high school. Hope Hall’s unique educational model includes:
Together, we can help our students grow and thrive.
