Hope Horses Helping People Inc

HOPE was established in July 2000, as a not for profit organization to offer equine-assisted therapies and activities to enrich the lives and experiences of individuals with special needs. HOPE seeks to offer diverse medical and recreational services to people of all ages and abilities!

HOPE’s mission is: To provide a safe and enjoyable  environment where individuals with special needs benefit from developmental, therapeutic, and educational equine-oriented activities; To improve theindividual’s physical, cognitive, emotional, and social skills through equine assisted therapies and activities and; To build a cooperative link within the community through educational opportunities.

HOPE’s founders and directors had extensive equine backgrounds and worked in a variety of professions and were active at all levels with regard to equine-assisted therapies and activities, thus establishing programs and services that were truly state of the art. Programs are designed to target the “whole” person by addressing the five main areas of development (physical, mental, emotional, social, and spiritual) while maintaining a standard of excellence in effectiveness and quality.  Each person receives individualized care based on a plan that addresses personal needs and incorporates the natural environment as much as possible.  All programs are collaborative in nature, innovative, and progressive.  

HOPE continues to be committed to high quality services 
and excellence in programming. We proudly offer 100% free of charge our “Horses Helping Heroes” Program to veterans and first responders who have bravely served our great nation and communities. HOPE operates exclusively on individual and corporate donations, grants, fundraising events and rider fees. In order to keep fees affordable for our riders and their families, we strive to offer scholarship help for those who need assistance.

HOPE began as a backyard program, but due to growth, quickly moved to a 40 acre facility, Helping Hooves, in Archer, who use has been donated. This opportunity allowed HOPE to add new programs and increase services. In the future, HOPE’s goal is to obtain a home of its own. Continued community support is needed to achieve these goals.
