HOPE empowers New Yorkers to build sustainable futures through comprehensive training, jobs, advancement and lifelong career support. Our comprehensive approach combines training, adult basic education, industry certifications, work wellness services, internships and job placement with long-term support. As a result, our job retention rates are among the highest in the field. Our graduates’ success drives strong results for employers, supporters and our community. 

HOPE offers six programs, ranging from seven weeks to five months. The career preparation programs include: HOPEworks, Sustainable South Bronx, YouthBuild and Green & Clean HVAC Training, and we have two transitional employment programs: Intervine and NYC CoolRoofs. HOPE serves jobseekers facing significant barriers to employment, like histories of substance abuse (43% of clients), homelessness (45%), court involvement (46%), and/or a lack of high school diploma or equivalency (28%). Further, 91% of our clients are people of color.  Each of these backgrounds are associated with grim unemployment statistics. Through resources, training, wraparound services, and career opportunities, HOPE prepares jobseekers to overcome barriers and build meaningful careers.
