The statistics are dark:

1. Suicide is the tenth leading cause of death overall in the United Stated and the second leading cause of death among individuals between the ages of 10 and 34
2. 22 Veterans Commit Suicide Every Month and 20% of Suicide Deaths are Veterans
3. 1 in 5 Girls and 1 in 20 Boys is a Victim of Child Sexual Abuse

These are men, women, and children who are husbands, wives, daughters, sons, aunts, uncles, and friends.  These are people with real names, real trauma, and real stories.

HOPE Project Inc. ministers to victims, veterans, and the physically disabled and their families by offering equine assisted psychotherapy at no-cost.  HOPE Project Inc. utilizes the natural bond of horse and human.  We remove the stigmas and expectations culture has placed on an individual by allowing the farm to be a source of healing.  This allows for clients to start a new beginning--a beginning founded on the Love and Strength of Christ.

Currently, HOPE Project Inc. works with the sexual assault response teams of Bay, Calhoun and Washington counties, Gulf Coast Children’s Advocacy Center, and vocational rehabilitation to provide therapeutic equine therapy which facilitates in the client’s recovery process.

David Trogdon, the founder of The HOPE Project Inc., devoted 33 years of his life to military service, 16 years of this was as an Army chaplain.  He was deployed multiple times, and knows first-hand that PTSD is real, devastating and deadly.  The VA has cancelled all of their PTSD support groups.  In response to this, HOPE Project Inc. has started a PTSD support group which 30 veterans are now attending regularly and plans are to start a second group.

Approximately 1600 clients were treated in 2020 by HOPE Project Inc. despite reduced numbers due to COVID.  HOPE Project Inc. treated 1238 individual clients between January and May 2021, many of whom were seen multiple times.

The need for our program is great.

We are expanding to include a satellite campus called HOPE Project-20 with the intent to be able to serve more clients.

We do not want to refuse any veteran, first responder, sexual abuse victim or physically disabled adult or child.

With your support, we will be able to increase our clients from 250 individual clients to 400 individual clients; increasing our services by at least 60%.  Not only must The HOPE Project Inc. raise support to cover its operating costs in order to continue to provide therapy at no costs, but the HOPE Project Inc. desperately needs to raise support to construct a shaded area over both HOPE locations so that clients and therapists are protected from the sun;  allowing therapy to not be dependent on the temperature.

Without HOPE Project Inc., and your support, we would not be able to provide hope and healing to our clients at no cost.
