ABOUT US

Hope Strengthens Foundation is a 501(c)(3) public charity founded by long-time friends James Fahey and Jacob Ferreira in 2010. Its roots were established when a mutual friend, Joe, valiantly battled against and beat cancer. Joe’s drive towards remission was rooted in two simple words;Hope Strengthens. That motto not only drove Joe, it inspired his family and friends to come together as a community. In an effort to support him, many members of his community organized a fundraiser to ensure that Joe could focus all his energy on his recovery and rest easy knowing his expenses would be covered while out of work. It was this effort that energized Jim and Jake to create a foundation that could support others just like Joe. 

Today, Hope Strengthens Foundation exists because of Joe’s strength and the unyielding support that can be found in communities all across our country.
