“Until you are faced with a serious cancer diagnosis, you can’t understand the enormously powerful, complex emotions that come with it.  It affects how you eat, sleep, cooperate, take your medication, etc.  At Hope Connections for Cancer Support, I have the freedom to say how it feels on a gut level.  When you can deal with the emotional stuff and feel more supported socially and psychologically, it is clearer to focus on the physiological things.”

Feelings of isolation, loss of control and loss of hope often accompany a cancer diagnosis.  Hope Connections offers a place where people with cancer and their loved ones can come together, connect with, and help each other navigate through their cancer experience.  Our programs are available to anyone affected by cancer regardless of their cancer diagnosis, stage of disease, age, economic status, race, religion, sex or where they receive their medical care.  Our programs include:

• Support groups for individuals with cancer
• Support groups for caregivers
• Educational workshops ranging from cancer specific topics to nutrition to side effect management
• Mind/body programs to reduce stress and rebuild core strength
• Resources and referral
