Our Mission

In light of Christ’s love, Hope for San Diego engages our community to care for and invest in our under-served neighbors.

Focus Areas

Here are Three Reasons why our volunteers and supporters partner with us.

1.Holistic Renewal

At the inception, the board of Hope for San Diego looked at the needs of our city and saw four focus areas that they saw could use increased impact. These areas create the scope of serving the community with approaches that wrap around the whole person/family physically, emotionally, relationally, and spiritually.

2. Equipping Volunteers

Besides providing opportunities to serve, our volunteers are engaged to learn more about these focus issues and how they can be a part of making an impact here in San Diego. 

3. Giving Beyond Grants

Partnered Organizations are bolstered with tremendous support. Hope for San Diego builds long-term relationships with non-profit organizations that are experts in addressing the challenges of change in our four focus areas. We call these partners "affiliates" who are then eligible for our annual grants-donations that fuel their work of life transformation. Since 2015, almost $700,000 in grants have been distributed to our affiliates.
