LOVE - PROVIDE - INSPIRE

Founded in 2014, Hope’s Closet strives to enrich the lives of children impacted by children's services by providing wraparound care, including an expansive clothing boutique and extensive support services. We LOVE displaced children and their families, PROVIDE encouragement, support, and material needs, and INSPIRE hope in a loving God. We endeavor to support foster and kinship families through our clothing boutique, foster parent support groups, foster family events, foster parent recruitment and training, foster child celebration activities, and foster parent mentorship.

We provide:

👚 Clothing, shoes, accessories, toiletries, baby supplies, books, and more through our clothing boutique.

🎁 Gifts for special occasions, like birthdays, Easter baskets, back-to-school supplies, and Christmas.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Foster family events, intended for foster families to enjoy the experience of healthy family outings.

👫 Foster parent night out events, designed to give mom and dad much needed "me" time.

📖 Foster parent training sessions and support groups, both in-person and virtual.

📣 New foster parent recruitment through our partnership with Butler County Children's Services.

🙌 Foster parent mentoring program.

How Can I Help?

Please consider contributing to our mission.  Here's how you can help:

  • Donate Funds!  Monetary donations are essential to providing support for local foster families, including their physical needs (clothing, toiletries, etc.) as well as support services.  Consider being a monthly donor, setting up a work peer challenge or become a matching donor!
  • Foster Parenting! There is an overwhelming shortage of foster parents, look into opening your home to children in need. We are happy to answer any questions you have!  Please contact at Erin@hopesclosetohio.org.
  • Donate to our Boutique! We accept new and gently used clothing (underwear and socks must be new), as well as baby supplies, shoes and accessories. See our website for a list of items we accept.  See our Facebook page for our current donation needs and check out our Amazon Wish List for items you can purchase and ship directly to us!
  • Volunteer! We happily welcome new volunteers! Whether you want to sort donated clothing, assist a foster child in shopping for new clothing, assist our boutique manager in changing over the boutique when seasons change (twice per year), or serve as receptionist for a few hours a week. Whether you are an individual or group, volunteer opportunities are available.
  • Fundraise! Our gala is scheduled for February 26th, 2022 at the Great American Ball Park. Please consider purchasing tickets (or a table) and/or joining our gala planning team who coordinates everything from the theme and sponsors to the silent auction and keynote speaker.   Contact us if you'd like to join the planning team and follow us on Facebook for updates.
  • Advocate! Like, comment on and share our posts on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and Twitter. Would you like to share our mission with your group or organization? We believe it is a privilege each and every time we share our mission. Contact us today to schedule a (free) speaking engagement.

Share this page with family friends and get everyone involved! 💜

We are grateful for our foster families, volunteers, partners, and donors.  Thank you so much for your contributions!
