Hopi School Inc

Hopitutuqaiki, the Hopi School, is a privately funded school on the Hopi Indian Reservation in Northern Arizona.  The school has provided the Hopi people with 8 years of Summer Arts Programs, developing and using educational ideas, materials and techniques derived from the Hopi language, culture and values.  Classes are small, like mentorships, are done in the Hopi language as much as possible (when instructor and students are comfortable in the language), and integrate the arts with other academic and cultural elements.  

The goal of the school is to become an arts-magnet school for Hopi, using instructional methods and materials that the Hopi have used for centuries to prepare students to enter adult life and the world of work any place in the world that they may find themselves.  The school will use local strengths, values and environment to prepare students to enter a global society.
