Horizons at The Rumson Country Day School

Dear Friends,

At Horizons, we are proud to be celebrating our 21st year in Monmouth County. Horizons is a transformational community-centered program proven to close the achievement gap for low-income children and put them on a path to success in school and life. Anchored by a six-week summer program based at the Rumson Country Day School’s generously donated facilities, we deliver a multi-year learning experience outside of the typical school day.

Through our unique approach, which combines project-based academic time, field trips, and swimming instruction, Horizons inspires students to take on new challenges. Students have the opportunity to explore science, music, theater, art, and other activities that cultivate creativity and leadership.

THE HORIZONS PROMISE

When a child begins our program in Kindergarten, we promise that student a place with Horizons every year through high school. At Horizons we promote possibilities, but we need your help to deliver on this promise. Based on our current expenses of $2,500 per student for our summer programming alone, we pledge an investment of more than $25,000 for each Kindergarten student entering our program. To put it another way, the current entering class of 30 Kindergarten students will require support in excess of $750,000 over their 13 years in the program.

This is our commitment. It is our promise to our families, our promise to our students, our promise to our community. Will you help us deliver?

Your contribution will directly fund quality programming and healthy meals for children who are in need and at-risk for falling behind in school if deprived of a program like Horizons.
