Horizons Salisbury

In Wicomico County, MD, where 1 out of 4 children live in poverty, 3 out of 5 children qualify for free/reduced meals, and 13% of high school students drop out before graduating, Horizons Salisbury provides the educational tools for students to grow academically overcoming the achievement gap experienced during out of school hours. Horizons Salisbury provides its students with classes in reading, writing, math and science. Swimming and cultural enrichment opportunities are also a staple part of the program. 

In the 2014/15 school year, Horizons Salisbury students achieved an average GPA of 3.0 scoring higher than their peers from all income levels with increased attendance levels.  10 of 11 students have now graduated high school and 10 out of 10 of those graduates were accepted into colleges.
