Focused on building a strong academic foundation in reading and math, exploring science and the world, and building confidence through swimming Every student in our program is provided the opportunity to learn to swim, a life saving skill so important for residents of a coastal community.

Horizons is a transformational educational experience that closes the opportunity gap and changes the trajectories of children’s lives. A national network of locally vested programs, Horizons offers an exciting learning environment outside of the traditional school year that enables at-risk youth to overcome the odds through academic achievement and healthy youth development. Students engage in a rich academic curriculum and explore swimming, music, theater, art and other activities that cultivate creativity and leadership. Returning to the program year after year, Horizons students build lasting relationships with their teachers and peers, learn to tackle new challenges, and develop life skills essential for success.
