Horses for Handicapped Foundation of Pinellas County Inc

As riding director Mary Urquhart states, we are "Happy for Horses" and we utilize our equine partners to help the special needs citizens in our community as well as develop empathy and leadership skills in our youth through the volunteer aspect of the program. We create:
~ Self awareness ~ Self confidence ~ Self discipline
This program is 100% volunteer run and 100% supported by donations from the community

Born in 1981, our Foundation’s purpose and mission is:
1) To provide a positive environment where humans and horses can share their love;

2) To encourage community involvement through volunteer programs that provide service and educational opportunities for schools, youth organizations and civic organizations. 

3) To provide an invaluable service to the community through handicapped and autistic support, training, recreation and socialization

4) To continue to build solid values in our community youth; teaching them responsibility and dedication to helping others
