House of Hope Mission

House of Hope (HOH) is a faith-based, not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization established for the purpose of empowering and equipping pregnant youth in crisis to become the mothers and leaders of their generation.  HOH’s mission is to give the pregnant and mothering young women the tools and resources to excel in every area of life. HOH focuses on developing residents physically, intellectually, emotionally, academically, and spiritually.

House of Hope (HOH) fully dedicates time and effort into encouraging, empowering, and supporting residents. We provide referrals and service coordination with local community resources. Our Hope House is located in the city of Port Orchard. This is not a shelter but a transitional living home. We will be providing room for up to 6 people.  We provide Safe housing, transportation to medical appointments, financial skills i.e., budgeting and money management, parenting skills, independent living skills overall health- mind, body and spirit. HOH is open to all ethnicities, but my passion is to serve mothers of color because the infant mortality rate to babies of color is 10 to every 1000 babies. This is attributed to diabetes and maternal complications among women of color. Black women are five times more likely to die from pregnancy related cardiomyopathy, blood pressure disorders than white women, HOH will provide medical education and prenatal support to help eliminate these disparities. See our enclosed business plan for our strategies and programs to achieve these goals.

The HOH pantry provides items for basic needs related to pregnancy, breastfeeding, diapering, and clothing for babies and toddlers. All items are free, and clients are encouraged to come to the pantry as needed.
