Houses of Hope was founded in 1962 to give "a chance and a choice" to individuals whose lives had been impacted by alcoholism and addiction.
Since that time we have grown - and now operate three programs: Halfway House, Touchstone and TASC. Each of these programs is designed to provide treatment and support services in safe, nurturing settings for individuals with substance use and mental health issues. Last year, Houses of Hope served 700 people.
Programs:
- Halfway House (Transitional Residential Substance Abuse) - serves adult males with serious substance use disorders. This program is operated in 3 separate residential settings and allows participants to re-enter the workforce while continuing to address their alcohol and drug use. The facilities are staffed with Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselors, Licensed Mental Health Practitioners, Nurse Practitioner and Technicians. The three facilities are staffed 24 hours per day. Average length of stay is 3 to 6 months.
- Touchstone (Short-term residential substance abuse treatment in collaboration with CenterPointe) serves adults with serious substance use disorders and secondary mental health diagnosis. Touchstone is staffed with Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselors, Licensed Mental Health Practitioners, Psychiatrist, Nurses, Case Managers, Technicians and dietician. The facility is staffed 24 hours per day. Average length of stay is 30 - 45 days.
- TASC (Targeted Adult Service Coordination) is Intensive Care Management serving adults with chronic substance use/serious mental health conditions. This program is community-based. Staff for this program work to connect consumers to substance abuse, mental health and psychiatric services, housing, basic needs and team building for consumers. This program is staffed weekdays from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and on-call overnights, weekends and holidays.
Through involvement in programs at Houses of Hope clients move out of active addiction and into a life of long-term sobriety and recovery.
