Mission

HCA is a community development organization committed to helping members of our community with housing-related issues. Our mission is to support social and economic diversity, through affordable housing programs in Arlington, Massachusetts.

Programs

-Two-Family Rental Program-HCA owns fifteen 2-family houses in Arlington, which provide thirty safe, stable and affordable apartments for low- and moderate-income families. Rents are determined by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and eligibility for tenants is capped at 60% of the area median income by household size.-One-Bedroom Preservation Program-HCA owns four low-rise buildings in Arlington, which provide eighteen safe, stable and affordable apartments for low- and moderate-income individuals and couples. Rents are determined by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and eligibility for tenants is capped at 80% of the area median income by household size.-Homelessness Prevention Program-HCA's Homelessness Prevention Program promotes long-term housing stability for low- and moderate-income Arlington households. The Program's main component, our Homelessness Prevention Fund, provides targeted grants to residents in danger of eviction and to households transitioning from homelessness into housing. The program also provides financial literacy education to help residents manage their finances, especially housing-related expenses.
